Wednesday. Busy. Looking for a lift. A GIFT. Trying to force a shift. Appointments. Auditions. Interviews. Waiting for breaking news. Tread water blues. I guess its better than DEAD water blues. There's actually quite a bit of brewing going on. We're waking up in the morning and making momentum. We've put together a little plan and that plan that will later become a bigger plan. Of course that plan is contingent on a few undeveloped developments that are currently developing. Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. Although there is no WORST. Just a Plan B... and a plan C. Kristen has the FLU. I've managed to stay clear of it. Even though I'm co-habitating with all a significant strain. She went to an interview last Friday at a Coffee Bean in Hollywood. She came back and within 24 hours she was showing symptoms. Its been beating her butt since Saturday, which sucks. Ive been giving her zinc lozenge after zinc lozenge. Wellness shots. Echinacea tea. Another zinc lozenge. One box of tissues. TWO box of tissues. Echinacea tea. I think you get the point. I'm taking as much Vitamin C and Echinacea Tea as I can stomach to see if I can keep from getting it. I have a 2nd interview today with an established beverage company. At least I'll make it to that meeting without any flu-like symptoms. I'm fighting it off with everything Ive got. And I'm hoping I can nurse my poor wife back to health. Yesterday was Mitchell & Whitney's First birthday. Happy birthday to two pistol packing puppy poos. Tasmanian devil dogs. I can't believe they are a year old. We took them home last April. It's been a lot of work, but they have turned out to be great pets. Such a big part of our family. (Kinda/Sort of a testing/training ground for when we have kids). They are chasing each other around the apartment right now, tackling each other and rolling across the room. Then they get up and go after each other again... and again. I love watching them run and play. So we started watching a few episodes of GIRLS on HBO. See what all the fuss is about. I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about. I mean, yes, I've watched and laughed out loud from time to time. So I have been entertained, but Golden Globes? C'mon. No way.And WHERE he hell did this girl come from? How does this girl, who we've never really heard from before, become the creator, writer, director and star of an HBO series? I'm a little suspicious. I mean, its great. If it's all authentic and this is a case of talent, hard work and perseverance. I'm ALL FOR a previously unknown rising to the top with a great product and a true voice, But seriously, where did she come from? How did this happen? And why doesnt she think that Brooklyn is full of quirky white kids? Has she ever BEEN to Brooklyn? Just once, I'd like to see a few black folks... and maybe a gang of Hasidic Jews walking around in the background. THAT would make for a more believable Brooklyn. And HOW is it that these smarmy spoiled white kids are walking around in the streets on New York and they are THE ONLY PEOPLE AROUND? Having uninterrupted conversations? Do you know how hard it is to have a street corner in New York ALL TO YOURSELF? It's virtually IMPOSSIBLE. Even in a warehouse district. Leads me to an update on my short film, TRAILS OF GRAY. It's coming. I swear it is. Ive been slow to take the project to the next level. The guy who is editing the project has been slow to help me get there. The holidays got in the way... AS has life. My editor is currently ona CRUISE. How lovely. Coming back Friday. But, while progress is slow, its does exist. It will be complete. ALSO... word on the street? More corporate video projects are looming. Maybe this year, business will be booming. I'm ready.
